Design shaped by site and intent.

stem Landscape Design creates thoughtful outdoor spaces shaped by the land and the people who live there. Based in Nova Scotia, stem specializes in residential landscape design, bringing together the character of each site, its ecology, and the way people live and connect with their landscape.

About Victoria

Victoria Moffatt is the founder of stem Landscape Design. She graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Technology in Landscape Architecture program, where she received the Landscape Architecture Medal.

Before returning home to Nova Scotia to pursue her degree, Victoria studied art, photography, and nutrition, and spent time living and travelling abroad. These experiences, along with motherhood and a lasting connection to the natural world, bring warmth and perspective to her work. She designs gardens and outdoor spaces that feel personal, connecting the people who use them with the surrounding landscape.

Our Approach

Every landscape begins with a thorough understanding. Through a process of observation, design, and growth, stem Landscape Design creates outdoor spaces that respond to both the land and the people who live there.

Observe

Thoughtful site analysis and discovery to understand the existing conditions, opportunities, and constraints that shape your design.

Design

Concept development, master planning, and planting design that bring together your vision, the character of the site, and a sense of place.

Grow

Implementation support, plant sourcing, seasonal containers, and ongoing landscape evolution.
